Bachata music was born in the impoverished neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic, but today is one of the Caribbean's most popular styles of music. Bachata is a rhythmic, guitar-based music that often conveys the sweetness and sadness of longing. Joan Soriano has played bachata professionally since he was 13 years old and is known for his melodious voice and charisma. For this acoustic performance, he will be accompanied by two additional musicians.
