The sonic splendor of this outstanding section of our symphony in the Cathedral Basilica will be an unbelievable treat. In combination with the 7600 pipes of the great Cathedral Organ it will be an experience of astonishing proportions.
Ms Slaughter is well known for her Brass Spectaculars and Holiday Brass Concerts, which have been held at the Cathedral. This concert will feature the members of the Brass Section from the SLSO in music especially written for grand spaces such as the cathedral.
The evening's program will include everything from music for solo trumpet and organ to music for multiple brass choirs heard around the cathedral. St. Louis Cathedral Concerts is honored to partner with our own Symphony players in this unique presentation.
