Musical Mondays" Week #6 - Old Fashioned Sousa-style band concert in Tower Grove Park presented by the Compton Heights Concert Band of St. Louis. Monday, August 9.
Hugh Smith, Tenor
This extraordinary Tenor first appeared with the Compton Heights Concert Band in 1997 and was received with sensational acclaim! Since 1998, Hugh has appeared at least twice a year at the Band's summer series and at the Holiday Pops Spectacular at Powell Symphony Hall. Join us for a Fantastic Finale!
Hugh’s career has continued to soar and after singing all over the world at the major opera houses and concert halls, he was signed to the New York Metropolitan Opera Roster for the 2009-2010 season! He was the Principal Cover at the MET's productions of Stiffelio, Tosca, and Carmen. He will be back at the MET in the fall!
We are extraordinarily fortunate to bring this rising opera star to the Compton Heights Concert Band stage once again!
